Two pink, sparkling cocktails with a cherry at the bottom of a champagne flute.

I bought this KINKY® Pink Liqueur a few months ago and had no clue what I wanted to make with it. I just loved the name and thought it would make a fun, pink cocktail cake!!

I originally shared this recipe December 2013. Updated October 2022.

What is KINKY Liqueur?

Well the label says: “A naughty fusion of super premium vodka distilled 5 times with succulent mango, blood orange liqueur and passion fruit.” Works for me!

I went to the KINKY beverages website looking for ideas, and they were basically the same ideas that I had! KINKY Martini, that’s already been done. KINKY something with Prosecco had two different options.

KINKY Italian has liqueur, limoncello, and Prosecco, or the KINKY Bubbles which has liqueur and champagne…..let’s go ahead and tweak the KINKY Bubbles!

How to make a KINKY Bubbles cocktail

I dropped a maraschino cherry into a champagne flute because I thought it would look cool.

Measure out 2 ounces of KINKY Liqueur.

and pour it into the glass. Top of the glass with 4 ounces of Prosecco, or enough to fill your glass.

A champagne flute filled a bubbly, pink cocktail and a cherry at the bottom.

I am not a big fan of champagne, so I chose Cupcake Prosecco for the bubbly component. It looks so pretty!

I just love the color. This cocktail would be perfect for Valentine’s Day with a strawberry garnish! Yes, I am getting ahead of myself here.

How to open a bottle of champagne or Prosecco

If you think the correct answer is shaking it and popping the cork across the room, the answer is NO! Carefully twist the wire on the metal “cage” that surrounds the cork and remove it.

I do not know if cage is the proper term, but that’s what it looks like to me. Okay, now cover the cork with a towel and carefully remove the cork by slightly twisting it back and forth and pulling upwards until it pops!

No one looses an eye, and you don’t waste any bubbly!!

Note: One 750 ml bottle of Prosecco will make about 7 cocktails depending on the size of your glasses.

Serving suggestions

Cocktails are fun and all but it is a good idea to eat some actual food while drinking. These are some of my favorite appetizers:
