I wanted to display my ingredients in cute little bowls, but then I remembered that I live in Iowa….along with the bugs, flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and spiders!! So I opted to purchase these awesome plastic canisters with sealing lids to keep the critters out!

Next, I made my Homemade Peanut Butter and sliced the strawberries.

How to make an Outdoor S’mores Bar

Place all of your ingredients into separate canisters or directly on a serving tray.

If using a fire pit, light a stack of wood on fire.

Stick your marshmallows onto your long skewers, and start roasting.

As you can see, I like mine charred! Now stack your chocolate on a graham cracker square, topped with your roasted marshmallow, and top it off with a second graham cracker with peanut butter spread on top.

O – M – G – they are delicious!!

For PB&J S’mores, add the sliced strawberries to take your S’mores to a whole new level of deliciousness.

If it’s too hot, or raining outside don’t worry, you don’t always need a campfire to make S’mores. In fact, I had to make new ones for the above image ^^^. Simply skewer your marshmallows and use the flame on your gas stove just as you would with a campfire.

More S’mores options

  • Use chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers
  • Try dark chocolate in place of the milk chocolate
  • Get fancy and use Ghirardelli chocolate squares or peanut butter cups
  • Use Fudge Stripe Cookies in place of the graham crackers
  • Add chocolate-hazelnut spread, almond, or macadamia nut butter
