It’s time for another Lady Behind the Curtain Dessert Challenge, and this month is apples and cinnamon. Ahhh, the possibilities…..
I decided to go with an Apple Streusel Pizza…yes, yes, I know…you are thoroughly shocked! I created another type of pizza…..
At this point, I think anything that is flat with toppings and baked…is called a pizza! What do you think?
I knew almost immediately what I wanted to make, I just wasn’t sure how I wanted to put it all together. I finally decided on the delicious and easy frozen puff pastry as the base. Then for the topping, I decided to use my Apple Crisp recipe hoping it would turn out the way I imagined it in my head. It turned out even better than I had hoped. Cassi gobbled this pizza down!! In fact, we were practically fighting over it…..it was that good!
I wanted it to have a little something extra, so I created a simple vanilla glaze to drizzle over the top. That is what took this dessert from an apple crisp to a fantastic apple dessert worthy of a dessert challenge. Did I mention how easy it was to make? So simple! The hardest part was waiting for it to cool down enough to try it. 🙂
Make sure that you scroll down below the recipe to see all of the other fabulous apple desserts. Thanks again for the fun challenge Sheryl! 🙂
Enjoy!

Being the pizza hound that I am, I had to come check out your recipe! Definitely one for our menu plan.
And I must say, I’m impressed that you have the button code for Let’s Get Social Sunday on your sidebar. Very cool of you to provide that service to your visitors, readers and followers!
Lisa, this “pizza” looks great! A pizza place in my town has an apple pie pizza that is similar, but I bet yours is even better.
Puff Pastry is always a great place to start–I will be making this, soon. Great challenge choice!
Mmmmm….lovely! I must start a relationship with Puff Pastry!
What a fun fall dessert! And a great way to use leftover puff pastry. I always have a half a packet sitting around and this looks easy to scale.
YUM girl, you know I love pizza too. I would tear this up! Could be I’m hungry too. 🙂
Def. will have to try this out.
I love this, Lisa! 🙂 It is much easier to make than a homemade apple pie, and I think my husband would love it!
Hi Lisa~ I had a pizza similar to this at a pizza place in Missouri a few years ago:) It was delicious! Can’t wait to try yours:) Have a great weekend! Lynn @ Turnips 2 Tangerines
This is a pizza I can get on board with! I’m on board with pizzas generally, but this apple pie style pizza looks phenomenal! Nice job, Lisa.
I love the apple + streusel combo and this looks so amazing! And that vanilla glaze?? Too good to be true. I need this pizza in my life right now 😉

I have never had a sweet pizza, this looks SO good!
Looks DELICIOUS!!
Wow…I’m mostly a chocolate girl myself, but I’m a dang sucker for a good apple recipe too! I have a fab praline taffy apple pie recipe that I’ll be sharing sometime this fall. My husband rescued it from an OLD Country Living mag I had from over 20 years ago! But it’s still my go-to apple pie recipe. But hey…this looks amazing…anything with puff pastry and I’m THERE!!!

This is beautiful, Lisa! Pizza is very popular around our house, and I’d be the coolest mom in town if I made this for my boys for dessert after a dinner of “regular” pizza one night. Thanks for the great idea!
