The Cabernet is not mandatory and does not have a strong taste…let’s just get that out of the way right now. It does however add a little something extra to this dark chocolate sea of yumminess! The symbol for Pisces is two fish, so a dessert swimming in Dark Chocolate Cabernet Fondue seemed perfect.

I made pineapple hearts with a small cookie cutter.

I used the same cookie cutter on the store bought Sara Lee pound cake.

For the strawberries, I reverted back to the days of making Cassi’s lunch for school and sliced them in half {mom moment}. You could leave them whole, but this way gives a much better strawberry to chocolate ratio. 🙂

My favorite is the pineapple, my second favorite is the Clementine wedges.

At this point I was looking around for anything that I could dip in chocolate!! Oh look… a bag of marshmallows that never got used for s’mores.

There are reports that dark chocolate and red wine are good for you, so I figured that they must be even better for you when paired together! Dark Chocolate contains high levels of antioxidants that can help reduce blood pressure, which is good for your heart and also your brain.

Pineapple contains Bromelain, which is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and digestive enzyme. The pineapple and the clementine oranges are both high in Vitamin C. I will not even pretend that the cake or marshmallows hold any nutritional value, they were just for fun!!
