FAQ’s

Can I use fresh peaches instead of frozen?

Yes, you can use fresh fruit, but using frozen peaches helps achieve a slushy consistency without needing to add too much ice. If using fresh peaches, you might want to add more ice to achieve the desired frozen texture.
You can also peel and slice fresh summer peaches and store them in the freezer in zipper topped freezer bags until ready to make.

What type of tequila is best for peach margaritas?

The choice of tequila is a matter of personal preference. Blanco (silver) tequila is often recommended for its clean and crisp flavor, but reposado (rested) tequila can add some complexity with its oak-aged notes.
Use your favorite tequila, one that you enjoy sipping on its own. Cheap tequila can make your drink bitter.

How can I adjust the sweetness of the margarita?

Start with a smaller amount, blend, and taste. Add more syrup if needed. Remember that the sweetness of the peaches can also influence the overall taste.

Can I make these margaritas ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the mix ahead of time and store it in the freezer. Blend it again just before serving to restore the frozen consistency.
This is also a great way to save leftover margaritas. Pour into a zipper top freezer bag and store flat in your freezer until ready to use.

Can I use a different fruit besides peaches?

Absolutely! You can experiment with various fruits like mangoes, strawberries, pineapples, or any combination of fruits to create different flavored margaritas. Adjust the sweetness accordingly based on the fruit used.

How do I make a non-alcoholic version?

You can make a non-alcoholic version by omitting the tequila and triple sec. Increase the amount of frozen peaches or add a splash of fresh orange juice for extra flavor.

Can I make spicy peach margaritas?

Absolutely! Add a 1/2 jalapeño pepper, sliced (adjust for desired spice level) along with the other ingredients and blend until smooth.
