Do you know why I can never go fully Paleo or Whole 30? My love of bread!! It is my downfall, especially when I am not feeling well. Two crowns, two fillings, an ear infection and a major sinus infection within one week is enough to make anyone run for The Best Garlic Bread on the planet!! Soft and garlicky on the inside, crispy on the outside………
I was going to make Cherry Pop Tarts, but then the idea of Cherry Sweet Rolls popped into my head and would not leave! To be honest, pie crust and I have never really become friends, but yeast dough I can make in my sleep!! Trust me, these are so easy to make even if you “think” yeast dough is too hard to work with……..
These Cassava Flour Tortillas are grain-free, nut-free, and gluten-free, which makes them perfect for all of your Paleo, Celiac, or allergy-free meals. I mentioned last week that I was craving tortillas, and I actually caved and used wheat flour tortillas with my Instant Pot Pork Carnitas. If you have been following me for a while, you know that I do not follow any specific diet……..
Winter is coming and I am already looking forward to big bowls of hearty chili and steaming soup. Some people like crackers alongside their soup, or chips with their chili, but I love a nice big slice of Skillet Cornbread topped with creamy, whipped Honey Butter. Talk about comfort food, and nothing tastes better on a chilly, winter night……..
I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but we have been breaking records here in Arizona for weeks now. Today was another 80 degree day, so like a complete crazy person I felt the need to bake Bakery Style Blueberry Muffins. Does that make sense to any of you? I guess it will take a while for me to get used to not baking up a storm…….
Cold weather, rain, and gray skies leading up to thunderstorms and tornadoes. That pretty much describes a typical Spring day here in Iowa. One day the temperatures are in the upper 70’s, and the next day you might not even reach 40 degrees. Crazy weather calls for comfort food, like this delicious homemade Banana Nut Bread……..
Traditional Irish Soda Bread is a type of quick bread that uses baking soda instead of yeast as a leavening agent. The ingredients used to make traditional Irish Soda Bread are flour, salt, baking soda, and buttermilk. You can also add raisins, egg, butter, or nuts, but I prefer it plain…..and served along side a bowl of Guinness Pot Roast……..

The snow is falling, the wind is blowing, and we are all bundling up for the long winter ahead! While trapped inside of the house for days on end, it’s hard not to sit and daydream about warm, tropical climates……..
