Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet, or maybe two, with parchment paper and set aside.
Cut the wings at the joints and discard the tips (if they are not already trimmed).
Place chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn the wings over using tongs.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until crispy and 180 degrees internally with a thermometer.
Melt the butter in a small bowl. Stir in the hot sauce and sweetener and continue stirring until thoroughly combined.
Place the cooked wings in a large bowl (I like stainless steel for this).
Pour the hot sauce mixture over the chicken wings and toss to coat.
Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
Notes
Some stores sell bags of drumettes and/or wings that have already been separated. This is a time saver if you can find them.
Chicken wings from ButcherBox come ready to cook, and they are raised cage-free.
Serving size is based on 4 pieces per person. 3 pounds of chicken wings can vary between 13 to 30. It all depends on the size of the individual wings that are included in the package.
I served mine with Homemade Ranch Dressing that is Whole30, Keto and Paleo compliant…and dairy-free!
To make an easy Blue Cheese Dressing, stir 1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese into the prepared ranch dressing.
