Grilled Onions

Instructions
For the Aioli
Mix mayonnaise, whiskey, garlic, salt, pepper and paprika together in a small bowl. Place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
For the Grilled Onions
Heat one tablespoon of oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook, stirring occasionally until golden brown…about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Optional: I added one tablespoon of butter half-way through for added flavor.
For the Burgers
Form ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat until no pink remains. Place cheese on top of burgers and allow to melt.
Place a cheeseburger patty on the bottom bun. Add the bacon and grilled onions. Drizzle with the whiskey aioli and top with bun.
Notes
Yes you can make the aioli without the whiskey! Substitute lemon juice for the whiskey.
