1.5poundwild-caught salmonwhole filet, or 4 to 6 sections.
1tablespoonolive oil
Instructions
Mix spices together in a small bowl, set aside. Turn on oven broiler.
Place salmon on a parchment paper or foil lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Sprinkle spice mixture over salmon and gently rub into flesh.
Place under broiler for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness, until caramelized and golden brown. KEEP an eye on it, it will burn quickly if you are not careful!
Remove from oven, slice to separate the filets, and serve as is or topped with papaya mango salsa.
Notes
Omit the brown sugar for whole30 & paleo.
Substitute Swerve Brown "sugar" for Keto. That is what I used in the images above.
A salmon filet that is 1-inch thick will take about 8 to 10 minutes to cook. Adjust according to the thickness of your filet.
If using skinless salmon coat the bottom of the salmon as well before adding the seasonings.
Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat leftover salmon in an air fryer for 5 minutes, or a microwave oven.
