Ingredients
1
large
dragon fruit
red or white
1
cup
frozen berries
I used a half-cup each, raspberries and blackberries
1
banana
frozen or fresh
1
tablespoon
honey
agave nectar or maple syrup
.25
cup
coconut milk
substitute almond or cashew if preferred
Instructions
Scoop the fresh pitaya flesh out of the shell like you would with an avocado and place it in a blender.
Add the frozen berries, banana, and honey. Puree to combine.
Gradually add as much milk as needed to achieve desired consistency. Serve immediately as is, or topped with coconut flakes or fresh fruit.
Notes
The sweetness of your berries will affect the sweetness of your smoothie, so adjust the honey amount to your liking.
See post for optional add-ins and suggestions.
