use 1 to 4 Tablespoons depending on your tastes and intense flavor of your beer.
any beer of your choice
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with baking spray, and set aside.
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together over a large mixing bowl.
Add the sugar and 2 Tablespoons of melted butter to the bowl.
Pour in the beer and stir together until mostly smooth.
Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top to create an even surface. Pour the remaining 2 Tablespoons of melted butter over the top.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, before turning out onto a wire cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before slicing, then spread with butter or jam of your choice.
Store bread at room temperature in an airtight container, or zipper topped bag.
You can substitute self-rising flour if you prefer; omit the baking powder and salt.
My loaf took 45 minutes to bake, but all oven vary and your cooking time may be different.
Serving size will vary depending on how thick you slice your loaf.
