Blackberry-Bourbon Sauce
12ouncesblackberry preserves
2tablespoonsgarlic chili sauce {add more for additional heat}
.25teaspoonground black pepper
32cocktail sized bun or dinner rolls, split and toasted
2cupsCreamy Coleslaw
Instructions
For the burgers
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper or foil, set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion, half cup of bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, paprika, and cayenne. Mix well.
Divide mixture into (32) 2-ounce portions and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until browned and internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
For the Sauce
Mix garlic-chili paste, blackberry preserves, quarter cup bourbon, and black pepper together in a medium saucepan. Heat over low heat until the preserves melt.
Place to cooked burger sliders into a slowcooker. Pour the sauce over the top and gently toss to combine.
Cover and cook over low-heat for 2 to 3 hours. Keep warm on low or warm setting for up to 2 hours. Serve from the slowcooker or move to a bowl.
Serve on toasted buns topped with Creamy Coleslaw.
Notes
To make ahead of time:
Combine and form the burger/sliders and place in a container.
Prepare the sauce and place in a separate container.
Cover and refrigerate until the day of the party.
Cook the burgers and add to the slow cooker with the sauce as directed.
