Instructions
Add the cocoa powder, collagen powder, stevia, and salt to a 16 ounce mug.
Pour in the espresso and vanilla extract, stir to combine.
Add half of the steamed milk and the ghee to the mug. Stir until all of the powder is dissolved.
Add the remaining milk and foam, stir to combine and serve.
Notes
I used Unsweetened Cocoa Powder because it has less carbs than Cacao Powder. It also has a deeper, richer taste...at least to me.
Adding Stevia Powder adds a layer of sweetness without adding any carbs.
To make your mocha even sweeter, add 1 tablespoon of Swerve sweetener.
I used Ghee because I am severely allergic to coconut! Feel free to substitute coconut oil or coconut cream if you prefer.
Califia Farms Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk does not contain carageenan or guar gum. Feel free to substitute homemade almond milk.
If you do not have an espresso machine at home, you can substitute double-strength brewed coffee.
Most espresso machines sold for home use do not have enough power to steam milk. You can "froth" heated milk with a hand blender or pour your mocha into a high speed blender to mix it up.
