1 ¾cupsunbleached all-purpose flourI used King Arthur
2teaspoonsbaking powder
1.5cupssemisweet chocolate chipsI used Ghirardelli
1cupchopped toasted pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 or 8 x 12 (1/4 sheet) pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
Toast pecans over medium heat until aromatic. Set aside to cool.
Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan.
Add the brown sugar, and stir until smooth.
Remove pan from heat, and pour mixture into a large bowl. Allow to cool until lukewarm.
Chop pecans, set aside.
Whisk eggs into sugar mixture one at a time. Stir in the vanilla and salt.
Add the flours and baking powder to the mixture, stir to combine.
Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.
Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan, and bake for 30 - 35 minutes, until they're light brown on the edges and the top. I added chocolate jimmies on top for fun.
Place on cooling rack to cool, 15 - 20 minutes. Slice and serve.
