Who knew? “Known also simply as blondies, these little baked goods are just brownies minus the chocolate. Yes, that’s right, someone actually, voluntarily, removed chocolate from this dessert. While the motivation may be insane, the outcome is delicious.” Okay, that’s just crazy! Who in their right mind removes chocolate from a brownie???
I saw that it was blonde brownie day and I just could not pass that one up. I mean, come on…..I am blonde after all! To be honest I have never made these before in my life. To me they just look like a giant chocolate chip cookie baked into a bar pan. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried one, hot out of the oven…..oh yes, drool. It was really good, but seriously sweet! I would have to do more research to see if they sugar can be cut back without ruining it, but they are intensely sweet. Granted, I do not eat normally eat sugary sweets, so it could just be my taste buds.
When I was taking the “glamour shots” this morning they were a lot stiffer and crumbly. So I would suggest heating them up in the microwave to soften them up, heck throw on a scoop of ice cream while you’re at it! Okay, now I’m jealous.
Everyone sing along…..cause I’m a blonde ya, ya, ya. Who remembers that song?

I did not feel they needed an additional cup of chips of my choice, they are sweet enough as is!
I was going to add cacao nibs, but they were huge chunks that probably would have broken a tooth, so I left them out.
