Prepare rocks glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge of each glass. Dip into black sea salt on a small plate and fill with ice.
Alternate method: use a paint brush dipped in simple syrup to create a large āVā on one side of the glass. Hold the glass over a plate and sprinkle the black sea salt over the syrup. Set aside to dry then fill with ice.
Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and prickly pear syrup to an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to combine.
Strain into prepared glasses and garnish with a lime slice or wedges. Serve immediately.

For frozen margaritas ā pour ingredients and ice into a blender instead of the cocktail shaker and puree until smooth.
