Ingredients

active dry yeast
Egg Wash

poppy seeds or sesame seeds
(optional)
Instructions
Place water, milk, oil, salt, and sugar in the pan of a bread machine.
Add the flour, make a well in the center, and add the yeast.
Place in the bread machine and use the dough setting. When the machine beeps, unplug and allow to continue to rise for 30 additional minutes.
Remove dough to a well floured work surface and divide into 9 pieces.
Shape dough into a ball, then roll into cylinders, 4 1/2" in length. Flatten slightly in the center.
Cover with a towel and allow to rise until almost doubled, about 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Just before baking, brush the tops of the buns with the egg wash and sprinkle with seeds if using.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool.
