Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits Recipe
Dogs can't resist the rich, nutty smell of peanut butter or the sweet scent of banana. These flavors aren't just favorites, they're healthy too!

- 1 large egg
- 0.33 cup all-natural peanut butter
- 0.5 cup banana mashed
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup brown rice flour
- 0.25 cup oat bran
- 0.25 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 large egg white beaten, for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone liner. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the egg, peanut butter, banana, and honey. Stir in the flour, oat bran, and oats.
- Roll out dough on a "rice" floured surface, to quarter-inch thickness.
- Use a cookie cutter to cut into desired shapes.
- Place on prepared baking sheet and brush with egg white.
- Bake until golden brown and dry, 30 - 40 minutes depending on size of biscuit. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- My dog bone cutter is 1 1/2" x 1" at the widest end of the bone.
- Be careful when cleaning the cutters, they tend to break at the welds if you push too hard!
- Always check the label: it must be xylitol-free. Xylitol is toxic to dogs, even in tiny amounts.
- Place the cooled treats in an airtight container, like a glass jar with a sturdy seal or a BPA-free plastic tub. Store at room temperature for up to two weeks in a cool, dark spot to protect against light and heat.
- You can freeze extra biscuits in airtight freezer bags or containers for several months. Thaw a few at a time as needed - freezing keeps the texture and flavor locked in.
