Ingredients
2
crowns
fresh broccoli
about 2 pounds
2
tablespoons
butter or ghee
1
teaspoon
garlic-pepper sea salt seasoning
Instructions
Fill a large pot with about 1-inch of water. Place on the stove and bring to a boil.
Add the broccoli florets to a steamer basket. Carefully slide the steamer basket into the pot.
Cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.
Taste test to make sure it is crisp tender. If not, cook for one additional minute and try it again.
Carefully remove the steamer basket and pour the broccoli into a large bowl.
Gently toss with the butter/ghee and the garlic-pepper sea salt seasoning. Serve immediately with your favorite protein.
Notes
Do not overcook your broccoli, it will turn to mush after about 8 minutes.
Tender crisp steamed broccoli will still be bright green. Overcooked broccoli will turn olive green and look drab.
Feel free to substitute your own seasoning choice, or simply toss with salt and pepper.
