Tablespoons
instant coffee powder/granules
or 2 Tablespoon brewed coffee or espresso
2
Tablespoons

2
Tablespoons
hot water

any type, any amount to fill your glass half way
ice cubes
Instructions
Place the instant coffee granules and sugar into a small, deep bowl.
Pour in the water.
Beat on high speed with a hand mixer until light brown and soft peaks form, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Pour milk into a mug or glass until half full, then add a few ice cubes.
Scoop the coffee mixture out of the bowl and gently float on top of the milk until filled to the top. Serve immediately.
Notes
An immersion blender will not work, you need a hand mixer.
You can whip by hand, but it takes about 400 stirs and your arm will be very tired.
I used a milk frother to make a keto version, but I could not get it to whip the regular sugar version.
Feel free to use any type of milk that you like. The images above are whole milk, the image below is unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
All of you coffee purist can use 2 Tablespoons of brewed coffee or espresso in place of the instant coffee and water. Yes it does taste better!
