You asked for it, and now it’s here…the Cherry Moscow Mule! It is a fruity, summer version of the classic cocktail made with fresh cherries, vodka, cherry liqueur, and lime juice. Don’t have fresh cherries laying around, or it is the middle of winter? Defrost some frozen cherries and you are ready to party……..
I came up with the brilliant idea to remake a bunch of old recipes and give them pretty new pictures this week. I picked the ones that needed the most help, and bought all of the ingredients. Then I realized that I would not have anything new to post if I am working on 5 old recipes, duh!! I still have a bunch of cherry recipes finished, but I am already bored with those. Then I realized that I could make Instant Pot Spanish Rice to go along with my Chicken Enchiladas……..
I was going to make Cherry Pop Tarts, but then the idea of Cherry Sweet Rolls popped into my head and would not leave! To be honest, pie crust and I have never really become friends, but yeast dough I can make in my sleep!! Trust me, these are so easy to make even if you “think” yeast dough is too hard to work with……..
Are you enjoying all of the cherry recipes this week? Today I am back with a fun cocktail that you voted for on Facebook…thanks again for your help!! This Cherry Whiskey Smash is perfect for summer using fresh cherries, winter in front of a fireplace, and shared with someone special on Valentine’s Day! So basically it is perfect any time of the year……..
It’s no secret that pizza is one of my favorite food groups. Lactose-intolerance cannot stop me from finding new ways to enjoy this childhood favorite, though it has slowed me down a bit. Actually, the 115 degree temperatures and a useless oven have been more of a hindrance than the dairy, but here we are drooling over this amazing Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Pork Pizza……..
Spring has asparagus, peas, and all things pastel. Summer has peaches, cherries, and all things outdoor…like grilling, pool parties, and family gatherings. This week we will be celebrating all things cherry, because it sounded like a fun thing to do and I could not decide which recipe I wanted to make featuring cherries. A big thank you to all of you on Facebook that voted!! This Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Sauce was a runner up……..
Have you ever found yourself craving something ooey, gooey, and chocolaty? Something rich and delicious, but you don’t want to eat a whole big pan of this chocolaty creation by yourself? Me too, That’s where the Skillet Brownies for Two come in! All of the gooey deliciousness that you are craving, in a cute little skillet to help control overindulgence……..
Show of hands, who loves chicken strips? Well today I have a healthier version of one of my favorite finger foods, Southwest Paleo Chicken Tenders complete with Homemade Ranch Dressing. They are easy to make and you don’t need a deep fryer. The hardest part will probably be deciding which dipping sauce to use……..
We are breaking records in Phoenix this week, 118 degrees two days in a row! Yes, I realize it is the dessert and crazy high temperatures are normal this time of year, but no one is prepared for 118 degrees now matter how long you have lived here, LOL. This Instant Pot Italian Beef is my answer to crazy temperatures, and how I manage to not use my oven during the summer……..
Hot summer nights, call for ice cold beverages. Something refreshing and maybe even a bit fizzy. This Classic Gin and Tonic is the perfect cocktail to handle such a hard job. There are only three ingredients needed, unless you count the ice, and you can make your cocktail as strong as you like……..
