I saw an infographic on Pinterest for these pepperoni pizza muffins, or whatever they called them. The link did not go to an actual recipe…I hate that! So I basically just followed the pictures and ended up with these delicious mini pizzas.
Okay I have to admit, it was not rocket science and all you need is simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. I made my favorite homemade Pizza Dough, basically made a pizza…rolled it up like a cinnamon roll, sliced it, let it rise…and baked it like muffins. Voila!

What you’ll need

- One pound of pizza dough – Homemade is extra delicious, but store-bought is perfectly fine.
- Pizza sauce – Homemade, store-bought, or a jar of marinara sauce will work too.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese – Purchase a block of cheese and shred it yourself with a boxed grater, it will taste so much better.
- Pepperoni slices – Use you favorite pepperoni, regular or mini pepperonis both work beautifully.
- Parmesan cheese – Freshly grated from a wedge using a microplane or smallest holes on a boxed grater will give your the best flavor.
- Italian seasoning – Sprinkle on top for an added touch of flavor.
- Cooking spray or olive oil – This is used to keep your rolls from sticking to the bottom of the muffin tin.
- Parchment paper sheets – Use parchment paper if baking on a baking sheet.

Storage and leftovers
Allow the pizza rolls to cool completely at room temperature before storing. Place in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag and store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days to keep them fresh.
If you’re stacking multiple layers of pizza rolls in the container or bag, place a sheet of parchment paper or wax paper between each layer to prevent them from sticking together.
When you’re ready to enjoy the pizza roll ups, reheat them in the oven for best results. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), place the pizza rolls on a baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until heated through. Alternatively, you can microwave them for a quicker option, but the texture may not be as crispy.
