Get festive and celebrate fall with these Autumn Sparkler Cocktails at your next party! I decided to get a little sparkly with my cocktail this time around, I thought we needed some bling to go with our booze, LOL They are super simple to prepare, and are sure to impress even the most finicky party goers.
You can get extra-fancy with your Autumn Sparkler Cocktails and use Champagne, or you can go the sweeter and more cost conscience route and use Prosecco. Sometimes it just comes down to preference, either way your drink will be nice and bubbly.
Wait, where did the sparkles go? HA! I made 4 or 5 different versions of this cocktail with varying amounts of bubbly until it was perfect, and I tried out a couple of different styles of glasses as well and some did not get the sugar coated rim…oops!
Are you ready for how simple this is? Check it out.
How to make an Autumn Sparkler Cocktail
Dip the rim of each champagne flute in apple cider. Let the excess drip off, then dip in gold sugar.
Add 1.5 ounces of Cognac/Brandy to the glass.
Add 2 ounces of apple cider.
Top with 2.5 ounces of Prosecco/Champagne.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes & Tips:
- Do not let the Prosecco bubble over the top of the glass, it will wash the sugar down the sides of the glass. Guess how I know this?
- If you flat out hate the taste of Prosecco and Champagne, I would try club soda or 7up. {I did not try either, just a suggestion}
- As you can see the Autumn Sparkler Cocktail fills the entire champagne flute, 6 ounces. If you use a larger glass and fill it with champagne, it will completely change the taste of this drink….which I did not like…at all. You want to be able to taste the apple cider.
Important Note: I have written the recipe to reflect (1) cocktail. You should get about 10 servings out of one 750ml bottle of Prosecco. I used an online conversion calculator so the math is correct. 😉
Tools to create this recipe:

Leftover suggestions
- If you find yourself with leftover Champagne, you will have the perfect excuse to try my Chicken au Champagne. I have not tried this recipe with Prosecco, but it should work, right?
- If you run out of Prosecco/Champagne, you could always switch to Apple Cider Mules.
- These Apple Cider Glazed Apple Scones are the perfect way to use up leftover apple cider.
Have I mentioned yet that I love fall?
