Do you have a favorite summer fruit? Mine is peaches, in case you hadn’t noticed, and I love creating new recipes to showcase their versatility. When the very first Feast & Devour was announced, I was so excited to share my Grilled Peach and Arugula Pizza…not realizing that peaches would be the ingredient for July. So I decided to take Frozen Peach Margaritas up a notch and turn them into a light and delicious Peach Margarita Sorbet…..

In between trying to create dairy-free ice cream recipes, I decided that a pure fruit, frozen treat would be a nice change of pace. 🙂 And since I always use alcohol in my ice cream recipes to keep them from freezing solid, creating a Peach Margarita Sorbet was the natural choice…..

Cool off this summer with an extra special treat, a light and refreshing Peach Margarita Sorbet | cookingwithcurls.com

Unlike my Frozen Peach Margaritas which use frozen peaches, I opted to use fresh for this sorbet.

How to make Peach Margarita Sorbet

Simply cut them in half, twist to separate from the “pit”, and slice…..

I wait and pull the skin off after they are sliced, but do it however you like. 😉 Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth…..

Have you ever wondered why I take so many photos? 1) Is to make it easier for all of my lovely friends to follow along 2) Is to help me remember exactly what ingredients, and how much of said ingredients that I used a month ago when I created this recipe!!

Place mixture in the refrigerator and chill for at least one hour. Yep, I left it in the blender container and just put the lid on. 🙂

Pour mixture into a frozen canister for your ice cream maker, and process according to manufacture’s instructions. {about 20 minutes}…..

Sometimes I take pictures just because it looks really cool, lol

Serve immediately for a soft serve consistency. For a more typical, scoopable consistency, freeze for 3 to 5 hours…..

This Peach Margarita Sorbet is creamy, which is kind of weird considering it doesn’t contain dairy, slightly tart, and amazingly delicious!!

Notes:

  • If you do not have an ice cream maker, I am guessing that you could simply freeze the mixture in the freezer until ready to serve….but don’t quote me on that.
  • Yes, you can leave out the tequila and add orange juice instead of the orange liqueur, but then you will have a Peach Sorbet which is different.
  • If you only have frozen peaches, let them start to defrost before blending them or they will not blend properly.
