As a component of this year's get healthy New Year's Resolution, I decided to join the Grain Mill Wagon - Whole Grain Blogger Challenge! My first self imposed challenge was to create delicious, light and fluffy Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns that would rival any white hamburger buns that I had previously enjoyed. Let me tell you, that is no small fete!

No one wants to eat a burger that is surrounded by whole wheat hockey pucks!!

The very nice people at Grain Mill Wagon sent me this awesome Wonder Mill, in exchange for creating some delicious whole grain recipes for their website. Challenge Accepted!!

I bought some whole wheat berries at the grocery store.....

    and turned them into flour.....

How cool is that? This is going to be a very fun challenge. I can't wait to try Quinoa and Rice flours as well. 🙂

Now for the fun part. You get to go on a field trip to see my review of these gorgeous Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns, and get the recipe! Click here: Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns.

Next Saturday I will show you what I created next. 🙂

Whoa! Those look perfect! I've never even thought of making my own buns, but now it is very high on my to-do list.

Thank you Karen! Once you make them at home, you will never want to buy them at the store again. 🙂

These whole wheat buns look great! I've had the hockey puck buns before…ugh! I can tell these are nice and light, and they've been on my bucket list for some time. Pinning to try!

I'm guessing your bucket list is as long as mine Marcie! I was really impressed with the way they turned out. The ones I made last year could have been used as door stops! 😉

Those look wonderful! I've debated on getting a food mill - it looks fairly easy to use. Thanks for sharing on Foodie Friday
