What could be better than warm sand between your toes, and a refreshing Bahama Mama cocktail served with a cute little umbrella in your hand? Ahhhh, now that is where I would like to be right now.

What you will need

  • Orange Juice – I prefer to use pulp-free, not from concentrate orange juice.
  • Pineapple Juice – canned works fine. For best results chill before using.
  • Light Rum, like Bacardi
  • Dark Rum – a regular dark rum (not a spiced rum) adds another dimension of flavor to this drink.
  • Coconut Rum, like Malibu to add to the tropical vibe.
  • Bacardi 151 Rum adds even more dimension and a kick to this drink!
  • Grenadine to give this drink it’s beautiful color, and a bit of sweetness.

Recipe variations

  • For a frozen Bahama Mama – Add all of the ingredients + some ice to a blender and puree until smooth.
  • There are multiple ways to make this cocktail, including a version with .25-ounce of coffee liqueur (like Kahlua) instead of grenadine.
  • To serve a large crowd – this recipe is super easy to scale by multiplying the ingredients by the amount of people you are serving.
