Well football fans, it’s almost time for the Big Game!! And we all know that no game day would be complete without these Super Bowl 2015 Cocktails! I could have taken the easy way out and just repackaged last year’s Seahawk Super Bowl Cocktail, but where would the fun be in that? I am back this year with two brand new cocktails for you to enjoy, no matter which team you are cheering for…..

How to make Super Bowl 2015 Cocktails:

For the Patriot’s Cocktail, I went with a traditional Boston “Cape Cod” cocktail, although I have also seen it refered to as a “Cape Codder”……

It’s really simple; vodka, cranberry juice, and a squeeze of lime. Nice and tart!! 😉

To be honest with you, I was originally going to remake last year’s Seahawk Cocktail and take pretty new pictures. But I could not find the Jones Green Apple Soda…..so I bought Mt. Dew because it was green. I do not drink Mt. Dew, actually I don’t drink soda at all, so imagine my surprise when it came out of the bottle YELLOW…wahnt wahnt…..

I continued on with my plan….vodka, Mt. Dew, and blue curacao, and it turned a fun, bright lime green color…..Perfect!

Last year I saw an image on pinterest {my home away from home} of a lime that looked like a football, and I couldn’t get it out of my head!! Seriously, I have been waiting for football season so I could make these.

How to make a Lime Football:

The only limes that I could find are much larger than I would have liked, but they still turned out really cute! Just grab a citrus zester then tilt it so you are only using the very last hole to score your lime…..

Then decide where you want your lime to sit on the edge of the glass, and cut a slit on the backside…..

to fit over the rim of the glass…..

You may have to wiggle it around a bit to fit it over the rim, but it will rest right on top and decorate your glass! 🙂

Add a couple of straws and a cocktail napkin, grab some food, and you are ready for the big game!!

Just in case you would prefer an emerald green Seahawks Cocktail, I have added that one here as well…..

  1. Your drinks are picture perfect 🙂 We are not soda drinkers here either. I love how you compensated and added the blue curacao to turn the drink green!

  2. So fun, Lisa! I don’t care about which team wins – but I will be more than happy to try one of each! 🙂
