Broncos Super Bowl 50 Cocktail cookingwithcurls.com

It is almost time for the biggest football game of the year...The Super Bowl! Which means it is time for Super Bowl Cocktails! I am not taking sides by featuring the Bronco's cocktail first in this post, but I did prefer the taste of the blue drink over the green one.

How to make Super Bowl Cocktails

The "Broncos" cocktail contains Jone's Cream Soda, vodka, and blue curacao (orange flavored liqueur), so it has a creamsicle kind of taste. Have you ever used blue curacao before?

It is usually used for Blue Hawaiian cocktails, and no, I was not drinking when I took these photos! I have no idea why some of them are tilted. 😉

The "Seahawk's" cocktail has Jone's Green Apple soda, vodka, and blue curacao, so it tastes like green Jolly Rancher....with a kick. 😉

I prefer cream soda in general, so it makes sense that I would prefer the blue cocktail. Now I will be honest with you, these drinks didn't turn out exactly as I had planned. In my first attempt, I used orange soda.....

I poured the blue curacao over the back side of a spoon so that the blue would "float" on top of the drink.....

and this was the result of orange + blue.....

It would be perfect for Halloween! Definitely not the look I was going for, so I tried again with the clear soda...success! You can see that it did not float on top as it was supposed to. The clear soda turn blue and the green apple soda.....

turned into "Emerald City" green.....

So have fun during the game, and I hope your team wins. Enjoy!!

Since both teams are in the playoffs this year {2015}, I have adjusted the images.....

Those sound delicious, might need to be careful though...they sound like a drink that can easily sneak up on you haha. Great job 🙂

LOL, the Bronco's drink was the most pinned, so I'm sure there are a lot of unhappy football fans today! Have a great week Cindy. 🙂
