A Blue Lemonade Cocktail is the perfect beverage to cool you off this summer! cookingwithcurls.com

Is the weather completely insane where you live? One day it is in the upper 80's, the next day we are back down in the 40's and 50's!! I'm not complaining, I am definitely not looking forward to 90 degrees with 99% humidity!!! But when the ugly summer weather does arrive, I will be ready to cool off with a refreshing Blue Lemonade Cocktail.....

Have you ever heard of a Blue Lemonade Cocktail? I hadn't until last year when I went to a Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game on the Fourth of July {that’s in Iowa in case you were wondering}. While we were walking around looking for something to eat for dinner, I stumbled across a vendor with a full bar. Well, almost a full bar. I wanted a Mai Tai or Piña Colada, and the guy just laughed at me!

So I asked him what he would suggest. He thought for a second…and then said that the Blue Lemonade Cocktail has been really popular. What is a Blue Lemonade I asked, a bit scared by what would make it blue? It’s lemonade and UV Blue Vodka…..I’m in!!

It was perfect, exactly what I was looking for on a hot, summer day! As I finished it, I realized that I forgot to take a picture and post it on instagram {blogger problems}. So obviously I needed to get a second one. What kind of food blogger would I be if I didn’t post everything I eat and drink on instagram? {insert sarcasm}  It was just as good as the first one…..and yes, I remembered to take a picture.
