This Cherry Moscow Mule is a fruity, summer twist on a classic cocktail | cookingwithcurls.com

You asked for it, and now it’s here…the Cherry Moscow Mule! It is a fruity, summer version of the classic cocktail made with fresh cherries, vodka, cherry liqueur, and lime juice. Don’t have fresh cherries laying around, or it is the middle of winter? Defrost some frozen cherries and you are ready to party…..

It’s so pink and pretty! I think this Cherry Moscow Mule would be perfect for just about any occasion, Valentine’s Day, Girl’s Night, even Christmas.

How do you make a Cherry Moscow Mule?

Place 8 pitted cherries in the bottom of a copper mug. Muddle/squash your cherries with an official muddler, or a min tart press…..

to release the juices…..

Add the vodka, cherry liqueur, and lime juice. Stir to combine. Add ice until the mug is about 3/4’s full…..

Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and additional cherries…..

It’s light, refreshing, and fizzy. Not too sweet and has a bit of a kick from the ginger!

Notes: {contains affiliate links}

  • I could have sworn that I had one of these muddlers, but I can’t find it anywhere! I am using an old Pampered Chef mini tart shaper. Whatever works, right?
  • I have these Copper Moscow Mule Mugs. They are holding up great, no tarnishing, and still look good in photos!
  • I used Absolute Vodka, McGuillicuddy’s Cherry Liqueur, and Reed’s All Natural Jamaican Style Ginger Beer {made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup}.

This Cherry Moscow Mule reminds me of the Cherry Whiskey Smash that I made last week…..

They both use 8 muddled cherries, and they are both fizzy…but vodka is nowhere near as potent as whiskey!! 😉

Don’t want fizz? Check out this fun Cherry Cheesecake Martini…..

Since you are buying fresh cherries anyway, why not make some Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Sauce…..

This Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Sauce is sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy for a unique flavor profile perfect for your next summer barbecue | cookingwithcurls.com

It is the perfect sauce for Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Pork Pizza, barbecue chicken, and pulled meat sandwiches. Actually, it has been perfect on everything that I have tried, lol

Enjoy!!

Cannot find cherry liquor at my local liquor stores, what do you suggest?

I think I would use cherry concentrate so you still get the intense flavor Andrea, cherry juice is too watered down. Good luck!
