What if I told you that you can whip up this Healthy Balsamic Vinaigrette Recipe in 5 minutes? Not only that, but this easy dressing recipe is versatile enough to use on salads, in a wrap or as a marinade on chicken! Sounds perfect, right?

With this simple recipe, you can skip the store-bought stuff and make your very own dressing at home!

What is Balsamic Vinaigrette made of?

    • good-quality balsamic vinegar - look for a small bottle of aged balsamic vinegar, not the jumbo bottle from a big box store.
    • red wine vinegar - this vinegar is aged for a shorter period of time which makes the flavor less sweet and bit more assertive than balsamic. Use all balsamic vinegar if you prefer.
    • extra-virgin olive oil - I love California Olive Ranch.
    • Dijon mustard - adds flavor and helps to emulsify the dressing.
    • shallot - adds an intense flavor to your dressing. Adjust the amount based on your own tastes.
    • fine sea salt - it will dissolve faster than a heavier salt.
    • fresh ground black pepper
    • fresh garlic - this is optional but could become overpowering. Add a small clove that has been pressed or very finely minced.
