After you are done playing chauffeur and transporting everyone home for the evening, someone asks that dreaded question: “What’s for dinner?” My response is usually “YES,” meaning I have no clue…..

How to make Skillet Pork Chops with Herb Gravy:

Slice pork loin into chops. The official serving size on the package states 7, so we are going to cut 7 slices…..

Try to get your slices a bit more uniform than I did, it helps them to cook more evenly, but don’t stress out if you don’t. Set them aside.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Mix flour in a small bowl with the sea salt and pepper. Dredge pork chops through the flour to coat both sides, shake off the excess flour and place them in the skillet….

Smithfield Marinated 100% Fresh Pork can be grilled, roasted, or sautéed in 30 minutes or less, which makes it an easy meal solution that is perfect any night of the week. We all love that, right?

Notes:

  • I used unsweetened cashew milk to make mine lactose-free. The consistency of your gravy may vary a bit if using whole milk.
  • To make your meal completely dairy-free, substitute non-dairy butter or oil for the unsalted butter.
  • Since I have never made gluten-free gravy, I do not know what the substitutions would be.
  • I used all 7 pork chops for this recipe so I would have leftovers. Feel free to use as many pork chops as your family needs for this recipe, and use the remaining pork for a different recipe. All other measurements will remain the same.
  • If your stove cooks unevenly like mine, turn your skillet around a couple of times while the pork chops are cooking so they get even heat.
  • To make things even easier, grab a box of instant spuds while you’re at WinCo. 😉

Enjoy!!

Made this for dinner tonight. Whole family loved it. My 12 yo couldn’t get enough. The gravy was very flavorful and scrapping up the browned bits from cooking the pork chops added to the flavor depth of the gravy. This was a very easy dinner, I served with store-packaged refrigerated mashed potatoes that I heated in the microwave and Trader Joe’s cauliflower broccoli gratin.
