This Oven Roasted Broccoli recipe is a simple side dish that is tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper then roasted in the oven. It is then finished with the juice and zest of a lemon and a sprinkling of grated Parmesan.

What you need to make Oven Roasted Broccoli with Parmesan:

  • fresh broccoli florets – I used 4 crowns cut into small pieces
  • olive oil
  • sea salt and ground black pepper
  • the zest and juice from one large lemon
  • freshly grated Parmesan cheese – the pre-shredded stuff in the bags has anti-caking agents and turns gummy. You really want to use fresh!
  • Optional – crushed red pepper flakes, balsamic glaze

This healthy and light recipe is the perfect side dish to serve along with Sous Vide Filet Mignon, Chicken Bryan, Instant Pot Rosemary Garlic Pork Roast or Baked Panko-Crusted Cod.

Recipe Notes:

  • I chopped my broccoli florets into small, bite-sized pieces and cooked them for 20 minutes. Larger pieces will take longer to cook, depending on your oven and personal preference.
  • All oven cook differently. Cooking time are approximate.
  • make sure to zest your lemon before trying to juice it – trust me.
  • This broccoli would be delicious drizzled with Balsamic Glaze.
  • For an added kick, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes.
