Do you know why I can never go fully Paleo or Whole 30? My love of bread!! It is my downfall, especially when I am not feeling well. Two crowns, two fillings, an ear infection and a major sinus infection within one week is enough to make anyone run for The Best Garlic Bread on the planet!! Soft and garlicky on the inside, crispy on the outside……
Although I did pretty much pull the center out of the crust, it was still amazing! It seriously is The Best Garlic Bread, and it’s crazy easy to make as well.
How to make The Best Garlic Bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley together in a small bowl…..
Try to resist licking the spoon…or fork. 😉
Option 1:
Slice the loaf of bread vertically, creating 1-inch slices. Do not cut all the way through, stop just before you reach the bottom crust…..
Use a pastry brush to slather {don’t you just love that word?} the butter mixture on each slice of bread…..
*If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle over the butter on each slice. Brush any left over butter mixture over the top crust and sprinkle with additional Parmesan…..
Wrap the entire loaf in foil, folding the top closed and place on a heavy baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
Option 2:
Slice the loaf in half horizontally, right down the middle. Brush each side with butter mixture and Parmesan cheese if using.
Wrap the entire loaf in foil, folding the top closed and place on a heavy baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
Option 2.5:
Place the bread loaf halves on a heavy baking sheet and Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until browned and toasted. Do Not step away from the oven!!
Serve with your favorite pasta dish…like this Instant Pot Spaghetti…..
I could have sworn that I had more pictures of garlic bread in previous posts, oh well you will just have to visualize The Best Garlic Bread cut the other direction, LOL
Notes:
- If you do not want your food touching aluminum foil, wrap your loaf in parchment paper first, then wrap it in foil.
- Parmesan is optional because my son is allergic to dairy. I usually make half of the loaf with cheese and the other half without.
- I sometimes sprinkle paprika over the top of the garlic butter mixture to add a bit of color…but I can’t find those images, LOL
If you have a bit more time and you are looking for something extra-special, you have to try these Garlic Dinner Rolls…..
I think I love garlic almost as much as I love bread! 😉
Enjoy!!
