Roasted asparagus typically takes 12 to 15 minutes in the oven, but you can cut that time down drastically in your air fryer! All you need is 5 minutes of cook time plus a couple of minutes for it to preheat, easy peasy!!

    What you will need:

    • Fresh asparagus spears with the woody ends snapped off.
    • A bit of olive oil and ground black pepper from the pantry.
    • Toss with grated parmesan cheese and fresh lemon zest to really make the flavors pop.

    How to air fry asparagus:

Trim the ends of the asparagus spears by cutting 1-inch off the bottom, or hold each spear in your hands and bend until it snaps towards the bottom.

As you can see the asparagus is crispy with a charred texture on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like it!

    Recipe Notes & Tips

    • For a softer texture, allow the air fryer to preheat, then add the asparagus to the basket.
    • I have not added salt to the recipe because I find parmesan cheese to be salty enough. Feel free to add a pinch of sea salt before tossing.
    • For even more flavor, drizzle with Balsamic Glaze.
