It feels like we just celebrated Christmas, and now here we are two weeks away from Valentine's Day! Before you know it, we will be pulling the Halloween decorations out again!! Where does the time go? Well I have a fun and easy to make Valentine's Day dessert for you today - Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Cups with pie crust spoons!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Cups with Pie Crust Spoons.....phew, say that 5 times fast!! I love all things chocolate and peanut butter especially chocolate peanut butter pie, but I have no desire to have an entire pie sitting in my refrigerator tempting me. I have no self-control, I admit it!

How to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Cups:

Simply peel off the lid and mix in 2 teaspoons of Peanut Butter.

Stir it around until combined.....

Then top with whipped topping of your choice and sprinkles.....lots and lots of sprinkles.....

Speaking of sprinkles, did you notice the adorable Pie Crust Spoons? They are really simple to make, trust me. 🙂

How to make Pie Crust Spoons:

Purchase or make a batch of Pie Crust {you will only need half} and roll out on a well floured work surface that you can cut on.....

Use a spoon shaped cookie cutter OR run a skinny knife around the edge of a measuring spoon {or any spoon you like the shape of}.....

Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash {1 egg white + 1 teaspoon water}.....

Sprinkle with sugar.....

or decorative sprinkles.....

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 - 16 minutes depending on the thickness of your dough. As you can see mine are pretty thick, about a 1/4-inch, so they took 16 minutes to bake. I wanted them to actually be used as "spoons" to devour these chocolate peanut Butter pudding cups.....

Ingredients

  • 8 Chocolate Pudding Cups
  • 16 Teaspoons Peanut Butter divided
  • 8 Tablespoons Whipped Topping
  • decorative sprinkles

Pie Crust Spoons

  • 1/2 recipe pie crust dough
  • 1 egg white + 1 teaspoon water
  • sugar or decorative sprinkles

Instructions

To make the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Cups

  • Add two teaspoons of peanut butter to each pudding cup. Stir to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and decorative sprinkles.

To make the pie crust spoons:

  • Roll out pie crust dough to 1/4" thick.
  • Cut into desired shapes and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar or valentine's sprinkles.
  • Bake for 12 to 16 minutes until set and lightly browned.
  • Place on wire rack to cool before serving.

Notes

I used 1/2 of my Pie Crust recipe to make these Pie Crust Spoons. Baking time will depend on how thick you make your cut outs. Mine were thick and took 16 minutes.
