My love of ribs continues with these crazy good Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbecue Ribs! I made these ribs for dinner on Easter, and they were amazing!! If you do not follow me on instagram {which you should} or facebook, you may not know that I do not like ham, at all.
So we never have the traditional ham dinner with scalloped potatoes on Easter like the the rest of the country. We have ham’s much tastier relative instead.
If you have no desire to make your own sauce, you could just buy a bottle of Guy Fieri’s Bourbon Brown Sugar, Sweet & Sticky Barbecue Sauce at the grocery store. My Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce is much better {Alex agrees}…..
but Guy’s is really good in a pinch. These ribs are so easy to make, and you can finish them on the grill or under the broiler.
How to make Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbecue Ribs:
Start by placing your sliced onions on a baking sheet, and place the rack of ribs on top…..
Mix the water and bourbon together…..
and pour over the ribs. Sprinkle garlic, onion, and chipotle powders over the ribs…..
and cover completely with aluminum foil…..
Place in a preheated 300 degree oven and cook for 2 hours, until tender and they start to pull away from the bone…..
Remove ribs from pan and place on a clean baking sheet or large platter. Spread with Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce…..
Option 1 – place ribs on a preheated grill to caramelize the sauce…..
Option 2 – place ribs in the oven under the broiler to caramelize the sauce…..
Cut ribs between the bones and serve with additional sauce…..
You know you want them!!
I served these ribs with steamed broccoli and my favorite Crispy Herb Roasted Potatoes and Tiramisu Ice Cream for dessert.

Notes
- I used my own Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce for this recipe. If you do not want to make your own sauce, I recommend Guy Fieri's Bourbon Brown Sugar Sauce.

Is there a good substitute for alcohol? We never have any alcohol in the house. Thanks.
No, I’m sorry there isn’t. If you remove the bourbon, it becomes a completely different recipe.
