My dreams of cooler temperatures and traditionally fall-like foods continues this week with Chili Sauce for Hot Dogs! My goal is to create an exceptionally delicious Chili Cheese Dog Pizza that will be perfect for game days, pizza night, and any other meal that needs a bit of fun added. Before you can make pizza, you must have a delicious sauce.

I still find it a bit strange to create chili without beer or beans, but this Chili Sauce for Hot Dogs is the perfect condiment and not lacking in flavor one bit!! And for those of you following a Paleo or Whole 30 diet, it can easily be made compliant. The hot dog buns aren’t, but we’ll save that conversation for another day….like in January when we’re ready to talk about such things.

Recipe Notes & Tips

  • For Paleo/Whole 30, substitute Red Boat Fish Sauce for the Worcestershire Sauce.
  • For spicier chili sauce for hot dogs, substitute chipotle chili powder for the regular chili power…or use 1 Tablespoon of each depending on just how spicy you like your chili.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for future use.
